About us

We were based in Tottenham N15 but relocated the office in 2014 to Woodberry Down N4. This was the area our managing director Marc Cooke had grown up in and still loves to this day. After the Tottenham riots we were the go to Estate Agent and were consulted by the government regarding Tottenham regeneration. Our business development manager Janet Cooke Thompson met with Prince Charles and the then Mayor of London Boris Johnson on several occasions to discuss ideas and action plans which resulted in her winning the Unsung Woman of the Year Award.

Today Estate Agency has changed with all things internet/online based and we are able to service London and the surrounding counties. We have always believed in putting the customer first and actually listening to what they want and doing our best to provide it. I started working for Talbots Estate Agents in 1998 with no previous experience in the industry. Within 3 years I had bought the company. I love everything about the Estate Agency business from lettings, selling, developments and land acquisitions to dealing with the solicitors and surveyors. I quickly passed my exams and became a member of the National Association of Estate Agents (NAEA) and changed the name from Talbots to Cookestates one year after buying the business.

Hi, my name is Kiely Cooke, and I look after the office admin and social media side of things. I've been part of Cookestates from the very beginning. Proud to have the surname and work for this family run local estate agent. Starting off in Tottenham in 2001 I have seen this business grow and grow to where it stands today in Woodberry Down.

I joined Cookestates in 2011 just after the Tottenham Riots to help them put Tottenham and the surrounding areas back on the map in a good way.I worked alongside The Tottenham Traders Partnership, Haringey Traders Association, Gladesmore School, Haringey Council, Boris Johnson and Prince Charles to promote the businesses and support the people. Cookestates held many local charity events to assist in repairing the damage done to the local areas. We take great pride in the charity work that we do to support the local communities. We pride ourselves in our community work and continue to do so in Woodberry Down.

Having been in the industry for many years and known Marc for 10 years he asked me to come on board and join the family business. My background in Lettings has helped the firm build the property management portfolio and together we strive to offer an unbiased honest service that has seen our landlords grow. Our number one source of business is referrals which is testament to the team we have here at Cookestates.
