I am a resident in Hong Kong, and have acquired a 1-bed apartment in Woodberry Park for investment purpose.
About 5 years ago I instructed Cookestates as the agent to lease out and manage my apartment, knowing that they are specialized in this region of London.
Cookestates have not let me down in that they rented out my apartment almost right after my instruction. The tenants they secured for me are nice people and have been staying in my apartment in the past 5 years without any hassles.
As an overseas owner who is so geographically removed from my property, apart from securing a good tenant I am equally concerned with the maintenance of my apartment as the needs for repairs would inevitably flare up from time to time.
I am very pleased that Cookestates have really attended to my property whenever the needs for maintenance or repair occurred. My understanding is that, whenever there is such need, Cookestates would first send their handyman to look at and identify the issue, who would also try to resolve it himself if possible. Should repair work be required, Cookestates would get a competent contractor to fix it up for me at a reasonable cost, and I was kept informed before and after the repair work. Such property maintenance service means a lot to me as an overseas owner.
My mind is at ease with my apartment in the past 5 years, despite I am miles and miles away.
